All things Mustang (& other thoughts)

Boss for 2007

3You have to appreciate how Ford is trying to stay ahead of their competition out on the streets.

We all know what I call their base model comes with the 210 HP V-6. Then the GT model with 300 HP and now coming back with the Boss which produces a powerful 390 HP at the fly wheel.

Chevrolet (bow tie) is bringing back the all new redesigned Camaro but I understand the price is a concern with Chevrolet trying to stay competitive with the Boss Mustang, Bullitt, GT Mustang even the bad boy of the group and my favorite the Shelby Cobra GT 500.

I also understand that the Challenger from Chrysler is also going to be expensive, well more than some of the Mustang models.

The Boss Mustang I think is a good looking car. I like that big fat stripe across the fender to the hood and down the side. To me it kinda says it’s the “Boss”.

I like the idea that the automobile manufactures are bringing back the best they can the so called “muscle cars” from my era.

The Shelby Cobra GT 500 Mustang was the only pace car that Nascar used this year that had very few modifications done to it. It had enough horsepower and the suspension was good enough for Nascar standards that it needed less done to it than any other vehicle used this year. Just added the strobe lights and drove it in circles at 65 MPH. Kinda slow don’t ya think for all that the car is capable of.

Come on it’s Nascar!
