Sports Car Club of America
The 2007 Mustang Shelby GT will be running in the T2 class of the SCCA competition.
The Mustang will have installed Ford performance packages to make a dramatic impact in the race circuit as well as the after market. The Ford Shelby GT along with Ford racing performance modified Mustangs can now continue the Mustang racing legacy started by Carroll Shelby that has it’s roots in the SCCA competition.
The nice thing about these races is that the SCCA allows the cars to be kept very close to being street legal with modifications minimal to keep the competition close and safe. The class competition has several rear wheel vehicles in the class from the Pontiac GTO to all wheel drive Subaru WRX and the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO.
The Ford racing packs available on Mustang can only ad to the excitement and fun already there with the hot pony car.
Like I have said before the only limits seem to be your pockets and your imagination as to what you want to do with your Mustang.
I still think for a “sports car” with all there is out there as far as packages and choices this car is hard to beat.
Something to think about if you have a “bow-tie” on your grill.
